We started working on High Roller in 2022. We wanted a paddle with a DOPE design signature: that reflective, chrome metallic outline. Getting the look right meant late-night calls with manufacturers and round after round of samples. Stitch even sold furniture to help fund the work. We kept coming back to the same idea: make something that looked like DOPE.
On August 1, 2024, we launched. Our first 150 paddles sold out within two weeks. After two years of work, players were choosing the High Roller look for themselves. For us, those two weeks made the wait worth it.
Then came the approval dispute. On October 1, 2024, USA Pickleball’s equipment committee told us its reflection rule extended to the paddle edge. It cited a potential “distraction” and said our finish would not be allowed. We pushed back: what evidence supported that restriction, and where was the clear standard for a brand that had already spent years developing its design?
In January 2025, the equipment manual explicitly named paddle edges in the reflection rule. The 80-gloss-unit limit already existed for hitting surfaces; the update made its application to edges explicit. To us, that was more than a technical footnote. Independent makers need clear guidance before investing years in a product.
The Super Bowl moment began with a last-minute request: get five more High Roller paddles to a commercial shoot. We sent them by overnight courier. In February 2025, there they were in Michelob Ultra’s Super Bowl ad campaign. The DOPE design we had worked to bring into the world was on a national stage. The approval dispute was still unresolved.
Franklin’s C45 raised another question for us. Here was an established USAP sponsor with a metallic-looking paddle edge and an approval outcome different from ours. In April, we asked USAP to explain. Its April 26 reply said Franklin’s original reflective finish had also been rejected, and a revised matte finish was accepted. It said electroplating itself was not prohibited. That answer did not settle our concern about whether independent brands receive the same clear guidance as established sponsors.
On July 6, 2025, Stitch took the story public in a five-post thread. We wanted people to see the sequence and understand why we were challenging the process. We still believe the bureaucracy owes players and independent makers clear rules, equal treatment, and evidence behind restrictions.
Look for the chrome metallic edge on High Roller. That’s DOPE. In gold, it brings a little court-side luxury to a design with a story behind it. A statement piece. A conversation starter. At 10 p.m. on a Sunday, Dope got the call: five more paddles were needed in Newport Beach by 7 a.m. A courier collected them in Phoenix and drove through the night.

My experience with the High Roller Bundle from Dope Pickleball Co has been an absolute game-changer! From the moment I unboxed it, I was blown away by the sleek, chrome gold High Roller Paddle. The charged carbon surface provides the perfect balance of power and finesse. Every shot feels crisp, whether I’m dinking at the net or driving the ball down the baseline.
The gold-infused pickleball balls are another standout. They’re durable, highly visible, and perform consistently on any court surface. The paddle case and 40 oz tumbler round out the bundle perfectly, keeping my gear protected and drinks cold during long periods of drilling.

The High Roller is the best looking paddle ever made! Way cleaner than the B&B BS ripoffs!🤣 (🖕B&B)… I haven’t played with it yet due to cold weather, but I tried it in my garage with my DinkMaster and hit a ton of balls into a net. When hitting hard shots the sound is very satisfying, and almost as loud as the Olympus! Couldn’t measure spin accurately but seems to be over 2K rpms so it will shape the ball nicely. I’m glad you went with the hybrid shape as it is my preferred paddle shape. It seems like the High Roller is on par of not better than a lot of other premium paddles currently available! Now I can’t wait for the “Hustler”! 😝
The extras that come in the bundle are all amazing quality. The glitter balls look amazing in sunlight and I will definitely be purchasing more! The glasses are awesome and could be mistaken for a pair of oakleys. The socks and shirt are my favorite part of the bundle behind the paddle! They are great quality socks and the shirt is very comfortable. I can’t wait until the weather gets warmer and be the center of attention at the courts!
Opening this bundle is like unpacking physical joy and happiness. It’s like pickleball magic explodes forth from the reflections of every gold surface within the High Roller Pickleball Club Bundle. Each item is so nice that I’ve still not used anything, to do so feels like a crime almost- like when you buy a new pair of Jordan’s and refuse to step in the grass. I will 100% be using this paddle though and every little thing in the bundle. When it gets warm out this summer- the public courts aren’t ready for the rays of pickleball glory to shine from this incredible bundle. 5 stars and 5 big booms!
I have liked the paddle so far. It is really light and I feel like it gives me good spin. I got the High Roller package and I am enjoying the goodies. Confused on why we only got one of the gold dice. I thought it would be a pair of dice. Not sure what to do with just one. Can't wait to see what neat stuff they come out with next.
Dope Pickleball knocked it out of the park with their High Roller bundle. The packaging alone was impressive, but all the products are excellent quality. Usually in things like these, the stuff is cheap, but not with these guys. The water bottle, the glasses, the shirt, the socks, the swag, all of it. And that’s not even getting into the paddle itself. Their Pickleball paddle is amazing and unlike anything I have seen or used before. I’ve been playing for a while now and have used a variety of different paddles and I can say that this one is hands-down my favorite. Not only is it an incredible paddle, but it looks fantastic. It’s so different and catchy, it really puts others to shame.
I cannot recommend this company and their paddle and gear enough. Spend the money. You won’t be disappointed.
The paddle is nice, it does have some weird markings on one side in the area of the sweet spot don't know what they’re from.Doesn’t effect the performance I guess.There is some cool swag though, keep the stickers, key chains, and dice and give me the hat instead.
In terms of aesthetics and design, this paddle sets a new standard in the luxury pickleball category. Putting performance aside, it's easily the most visually striking paddle on the market - elegant, modern, and undeniably premium.
The amount of detail & thought that went into this paddle & High Roller treasure chest is UN-REAL! When you’re holding this paddle, it feels like the holy grail. There’s something about playing with a paddle that has so much thought that went into it that it’s like playing with an original Picasso & everyone else is playing with copies that have some big brand name on them (boring). If you want to blend in with the sheep, this paddle is NOT for you. If you’re ready to stand out and turn some spectators heads towards your court during games, this IS the paddle for YOU!!!
From the moment I opened the box, I knew this was something special. The paddle plays exceptionally well—balanced, responsive, and a joy to use on the court. The quality and attention to detail exceeded my expectations.
But the real surprise was the extra swag! Every item felt thoughtfully included, and the magnetic towel was a game-changer. It conveniently sticks to the outside of my bag, making it super easy to grab when needed.

The package came fully loaded with everything you need to dominate the court in style: a high-quality paddle, shirt, glasses, socks, stainless steel cup, towel, bags, and keychains. The premium quality and attention to detail make this an absolute game-changer.
When I opened the the first box I was a little upset because the interior main box was smashed on the corners and all the seems were torn. That being said as I opened the main box all I could do was smile. It’s a master piece. Most likely will never let it hit the court. It is just too good looking to ever let get scuffed. It currently sits in my restaurant as a work of art. I do wish the box that I have was in better condition. Also jealous of the people who got extra surprises in their boxes. I didn’t. But still love the paddle, paddle case, and balls. Can not wait for the next edition.
The wait was worth it. The paddle is not only beautiful, but plays as well as any of the established lines out there already. The swag that comes with the bundle is all quality. Dope has succeeded in bringing something new and luxurious to the game!
