Every brand origin story claims a garage or an epiphany. Ours was simpler: we looked at the gear on America's fastest-growing courts and realized everything was engineered and nothing was designed.
2022: the gap
By 2022, pickleball had exploded. Millions of new players, courts going up everywhere, paddle tech advancing every season. But the aesthetic conversation hadn't started. Gear looked like it was ordered from a lab catalog. Players who cared about how they showed up — the ones matching their fits, curating their bags — had nothing built for them.
Dope Pickleball Co. was founded to be that brand. Not another performance-claims arms race. A design house that happens to make pickleball gear.
The High Roller
Our first statement was the High Roller Chrome Gold Paddle — black and gold, wrapped in our chrome metallic edge. It looked like nothing else on a court, which was the entire point. Around it we built a full coordinated collection: balls, apparel, eyewear, accessories, all speaking the same visual language.
The Super Bowl moment
In February 2025, the gold High Roller paddle appeared in Michelob ULTRA's Super Bowl LIX commercial, in the hands of Willem Dafoe and Catherine O'Hara. Tens of millions of people saw a chrome-gold paddle on the biggest stage in advertising. The phones did not stop.
What's next
The brand keeps growing the way it started: design first. New colorways, new pieces, and the same rule from day one — if it doesn't turn heads at open play, it doesn't ship. Explore the current collection or read about where the chrome edge goes next.
