Most pickleball brands started because someone was already running a sporting goods operation and decided to add a pickleball SKU. Dope Pickleball Co. started differently.
We started because we actually play, and we couldn't find gear that matched the way we thought about the sport. Pickleball is one of the most culturally interesting sports in America right now — it's athletic but social, competitive but accessible, and it attracts a player base that is genuinely diverse in age and background in a way most sports aren't. The gear available didn't reflect any of that. Most of it looked like it came from the clearance section of a 2003 sporting goods catalog.
The First Moment
The first sign we were onto something real came before we had a full product line. A prior pickleball venture landed a placement in a Michelob Ultra Super Bowl commercial — one of the most visible advertising slots in American media. That kind of validation doesn't happen by accident. It happens because the brand connects with something real in the culture.
Building the Aesthetic
The High Roller Collection came first. We wanted a complete lifestyle system — not just a paddle and some balls, but gear that worked as a coherent visual identity from the court to the parking lot. The trademark-pending chrome metallic edge guard on our paddles became the visual signature that defined the brand. It's not a performance claim — it's a style statement. The paddle that started a conversation.
The High Roller Original Chrome Gold Paddle is still the anchor piece of the entire collection.
The Manhattan Mint Chapter
The Manhattan Mint Collection represents where the brand went next — a more refined direction for the player who had graduated from loud. Exclusive colorway, premium leather carry pieces, the same performance core in a more understated package. The Manhattan Mint Paddle and the Leather Shoulder Sling are designed for a different player than the High Roller — and that's intentional.
What We're Building
Dope Pickleball Co. is a brand with a point of view. We're not trying to be the most technically impressive paddle manufacturer or the cheapest option in the category. We're building for the player who cares about showing up right — on the court, in the lifestyle, in the way the gear looks when you pull it out of your bag.
The sport deserves better gear than it's had. We're here to build it.
